Mike comes from an FMCG background, having run companies in the UK across numerous well-known food and beverage brands. Prior to establishing After Build, Mike spent time with WH Smith developing a national web-based ordering portal for their wholesale newspaper and magazine subsidiary. After Build was first conceived in 2002 and after a successful pilot launched a year later. Introducing the concept of fixed-price after care for new home developers, today we are market leaders in cost-effective property warranty management.

The first half of Mark’s career was spent in media – specifically regional press, radio and latterly TV having headed up Trinity Mirror’s venture in the Midlands. Working also at WH Smith’s news and print ordering subsidiary, Mark and Mike have an enormous collective experience in after care and this led ultimately to the pilot of the After Build concept in 2002. A year later the full service was launched. We continue to innovate to maintain our market leading position.

After a stint in the military, Mark has spent a working life managing, running and eventually owning businesses in the print industry. Such diverse experience serves him well as he now heads up the After Build Operations team. Every 5 minutes is a new deadline with a need to be across many variations of our service.

Kerri is at the coal-face of service delivery, managing our team of Property Coordinators who, take and manage thousands of calls from homeowners across the UK – every day. With a background in call centre management, the rigours of a busy department keep everyone on their toes, not least Kerri who also manages the individual personal development of every member of her team as well as training and ongoing service improvements.

Ellie is a long serving employee having initially joined After Build as a Property Coordinator. Her path progressed through Supervisor for Site Services to Estate Manager. Her input to the business has been a constant factor in the growth of site services and she now takes responsibility for managing our Estate services.

Tom is a veteran of new-build warranty management having worked for some years with a number of recognised warranty providers. His understanding and contacts are a perfect match to the requirements of this post and he is well placed to develop After Build’s significant and unique position in this market.

Following university, Augusta settled in housing, working for Affinity Sutton Group (now Clarion).  Here she gained a great working knowledge of the housing association sector, dealing with complaints and policy. Initially she joined After Build managing the Operations team but moved to Sales and Marketing 18 months ago. Her current focus is to develop our digital marketing strategy.

Our financial control falls to Vicky Vater who manages all revenues and costs with a consistently high degree of skill and with an accommodating, helpful personality. Rare as they may be, account queries should be directed to Vicky who has an excellent track record for unravelling things!

During this difficult time After Build’s service continues as normal. Given our technology platform, the team is able to operate remotely without impacting on service levels – this includes Out of Hours Emergency cover.

In the event that a developer’s contractor is unable to attend a property (either because they are instructed not to, or because a homeowner does not wish it) the Property Coordinator will take full details of the issue, recording it on our system in readiness for making an appointment just as soon as matters return to normal.
