Skill Set Training 

The services we provide require a particular skill set. So much so, we decided to create our own accreditation programme. Linked to salary, coordinators gain knowledge through a 12 months scheme, based on quarterly exams. Every pass results in a certificate, an elevated level of knowledge and a pay increase.

Our coordinators undergo three modules to complete the course. These are: 

  • Introduction to After Build processes and procedures 
  • Anatomy of a New Build 
  • Advances coordinator strategies 

These successful completion of these three modules represents a salary increase for the team member. Meanwhile, there is further training for the entire team happening on an ongoing basis. The coordinators each have their own ongoing learning file which they can refer to throughout their time in the role. 

Ongoing Professional Development 

At After Build, we believe that ongoing professional development is key to employee satisfaction and retention. We have helped people in our coordinator team aspire to other senior roles within the company. 

If there is a particular skill set that you would like to learn and you feel would benefit the company, we can usually look into a relevant programme. 

Wealth of Knowledge 

Our senior management team have come from a number of different backgrounds and therefore have a range of experience. We employ people who have worked in print media, food and drink and housing and we value that diversity. 

Unique Training Product

We know that sometimes, developer want to work with their own in house team but meanwhile, they have no formal process to train. After Build have developed this product so that others can make use of it too. This unique arrangement is now available to developers wishing to improve their own staff knowledge.

During this difficult time After Build’s service continues as normal. Given our technology platform, the team is able to operate remotely without impacting on service levels – this includes Out of Hours Emergency cover.

In the event that a developer’s contractor is unable to attend a property (either because they are instructed not to, or because a homeowner does not wish it) the Property Coordinator will take full details of the issue, recording it on our system in readiness for making an appointment just as soon as matters return to normal.
